Richard J. Weller, better known to family and friends as "Rick", will be remembered as a generous and caring individual, who could liven a given moment with his sense of humor. A Southern California native, Rick moved to Utah with his wife and three children in search of a simpler life. Although his career was in the field of computers, his true passion was in music. He was a gifted, self-taught guitarist. He could make a guitar sing like no other with minimal or no practice. The guitar legends, Jimmy Page and Stevie Ray Vaughan, were both strong musical influences for his powerful playing style. Rick was also a talented photographer. He could often be seen at venues in the area, photographing local bands during their concerts in order to help promote them. He cared about the support of the local music scene. Rick is survived by his wife, three children, mother, brother, two sisters, and numerous extended family members. We were blessed to have known him and miss him greatly.
