Kevin L. Haskell
Aug. 25, 1955 – Feb. 15, 2016
In the early morning hours of February 15th, Kevin L Haskell passed away peacefully, from a stroke, with his family by his side. He is finally free of his pain and suffering, and is now taking care of baseball fields, once again, as he loved doing. Kevin was most at peace when he was outdoors. He loved playing whiffle ball, working in the yard including cleaning the family pool (but never swimming), and bottle digging. But his two true loves in life were his sons, Ben and Chris. Playing anything and everything with them and just being involved in all they did. Whether it was coaching them in baseball, watching Ben bowl and Chris play football, or spending the weekend camping and fishing in the Uintas. He loved his boys very much and was very proud of those two, no matter what. And he made sure everyone knew that.
Born to Irene and Larry Haskell in Salt Lake City, Kevin was the youngest of six brothers. Four of which he leaves behind and one he will soon be meeting up with, once again. Kevin attended Cypress High School, in Magna and following high school, he was accepted to Dixie State College as a pitcher on a baseball scholarship. He loved baseball. Returning from college, Kevin met and soon married the love of his life, Jill Grote, who he was married to for 33 years.
