Ryan was born April 29, 1979 to his loving parents Brian and Patricia McPhie. He was the first born child and a wonderful big brother to his siblings, Jason, Tyler, and Crystal. He lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. He was a friend to everyone and a safe place to go when you needed advice or a big warm hug. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served a mission in Columbus, Ohio from 1991 to 1993. He enjoyed breeding snakes, working out, watching movies, vacationing, and being with friends and family. He was a general contractor and skilled in all trades. He spent time throughout the years helping his father with his carpet cleaning business, and proudly bragged that he was a builder and a cleaner. Sadly, Ryan returned to his loving Father in Heaven on January 25th, 2017 from complications from a sudden brain aneurysm. He had just married the love of his life, Ashley McPhie on August 4, 2016 and became an instant father to 3 adoring daughters. Ryan taught everyone to love big, have fun, and be silly. His last lesson was to be charitable. After brain surgery the only word that he could say was “Charitable.” We’d ask him what his name was, he would say “Charitable”, we’d ask what my name was, he’d say “Charitable.” We believe angels were with him during surgery and he wanted us to remember to have charity in our hearts throughout our lives. Ryan was able to donate all his organs, many tissues, veins, and even bones so other families could receive the charitable gift of life. He will always hold the biggest parts of our hearts.
