James Mitchel Webb, 79 passed away at 3:11 pm on December 11th, 2017 in his daughters home in Nephi, UT. surrounded by his loved ones.
Jim was born on February 6, 1938, in Salinas, California to Earl and Theora Webb. He was the youngest of 6 children. When he was young his family moved to Tooele, UT. His father passed away not long after. He convinced his mother Theora to let him enlist in the Army at the Age of 16. After being released from duty 2 years later he got a job at Saltair as an ice boy. This is where he met his sweetheart Beth. All his co-workers knew they could find him at Beth’s ice cream stand. They married on November 23, 1957. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. He was the father of 5 beautiful children Carol, Pamela, James, Thomas and Kenneth.
Jim loved the outdoors. He would take his kids hiking, fishing and camping, Even in the winter. As grandchildren and great grandchildren were born, he shared his love of the outdoors with them as well. He was a generous man, taking care of those around him, not many were able to see the the caring loving person he could be. Jim worked and retired from UTA where he had many great opportunities and made many friends. He was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, great grandfather, friend and neighbor. Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife Beth, parents Earl and Theora, siblings Norm, Don, Delores, Dorothy and Cliff, Son Kenneth, granddaughters Tonya and Ashley and great granddaughter Mckayla. What a joyous reunion in Heaven to be with so many loved ones. We will miss his hugs and energetic personality.
